Calgary Skate Shoppe Ltd. was established in 1992 by Pat MacDonald. Pat continued to serve customers throughout Calgary and surrounding communities until her retirement and sale of the business in August of 2004.

New owners, Lexie Armstrong and parents, Sandi and Howard, strive to carry on the proud tradition of offering the latest, highest quality skating equipment and accessories. Calgary Skate Shoppe strives to provide their customers with superior service and support because we

know that our own success is tied to the success of our customers, while working at their sport.

Our aim is to provide athletes and their families with the correct products for their needs and a proper fit to maximize performance, while at the same time providing excellent value. We also strive to provide each athlete with knowledge regarding the proper maintenance of their equipment.
Lexie is our skate technician here at Calgary Skate Shoppe. She has been involved in the sport of figure skating for approximately 15 years. She has also taken 4 years of university in Kinesiology, which is a definite asset in the proper fit of skates and proper blade alignment. She has achieved a Gold test level in freeskate, dance and skills and also performed with Disney on Ice in the United Kingdom and throughout the United States. As well, Lexie has completed her NCCP Level 1 Coaching Certification. Lexie has an abundance of knowledge in skating which she uses to evaluate and correct any problems that a skater may encounter.

Howard also has expertise in the sport and uses his knowledge in the areas of blade sharpening, blade mounting, boot re-building as well as for any other repairs that a skater might require. He obtained many of his skills while employed in Northern Manitoba.
Sandi has been around the sport for approximately 15 years and assists in the day to day operation of the business by applying her knowledge of running a successful, customer-oriented business.
